Design Management

12

  • Conduct change management evaluation, process improvement training as well as systems implementation for design management and project execution personnel.

  • Advise project management team on FEED and detail design phases on safety and environmental issues.

13

Laboratory Testing

A full range of laboratory services are available through affiliated industry and research institutes including chemical analysis, mechanical testing, metallography and scanning electron microscopy. Perform Metallurgical analysis on various material including scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), magnetic force microscopy (MFM), neutron scattering, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and light microscopy, photomicrography and image analysis.

14

Corrosion Testing

Develop technical procedures and perform Corrosion testing including; penetration rate test and Potentiostatic anodic/cathodic polarisation test on stainless steels and Mild steels. Huey and Streicher test for stainless steels to determine intergranular corrosion (Weld decay and Knifeline attack) susceptibility and HIC and SSC testing.

15

Fracture Mechanics

Fracture mechanics provides the engineering basis to quantitatively predict the effects of cracks or other defects. How much a given crack size will affect strength and how long it will take for a flaw to grow to a crack size that is dangerous for operation can be answered for many materials. This approach works best for high strength, brittle alloys, ceramics, and some non-metals. Different techniques can be used for more ductile materials.

16

Automatic Welding, Automatic Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) and Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA)

Provide guidance on selection of automatic welding systems for onshore and offshore pipelines. Qualification and implementation of AUT systems including Manual Phased Array and Time of Flight Diffraction techniques for Oil and Gas application. Development of ECA for defect analysis based on size shape and distribution for pipeline inspection.
